Merkle, a world-leader in customer experience management, has added Thomas Walter to its Northern Europe team. Thomas Walter is appointed Chief Practices Officer – a new position reflective of Merkle’s commitment to organize and collaborate across borders, teams and capabilities to deliver the best counsel, expertise and experiences.

In Northern Europe 9 practices form the basis of the services stack, including consulting, commerce, data and analytics, content solutions, experience and activation. Whilst all individually important it is through their integration true customer experience is achieved.
Merkle Northern Europe is now effectively organized in one cluster consisting of more than 750 people. This has added strength to Merkle in each local market and made a great roster of minds and specialists available on a whole new level.

Thomas brings in 15+ years of industry expertise, and describes himself as a generalist and someone, who always aims to bridge the gaps between business, technology and creativity.
He completed his PhD in business innovation from prestigious University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, and has subsequently been working with business strategy, digital transformation and customer experience for brands like UBS, ABB, Swiss Life or Bucherer. From 2013 Thomas was part of Namics – a Swiss full-service agency that was merged into Merkle in 2018.
