Merkle's Response Management Group Selected to Provide Donation Processing Services for Amnesty International USA

December 6, 2010
Columbia, MD

Merkle (www.merkle.com), the nation's largest and fastest growing customer relationship marketing agency, today announced that its Response Management Group is providing mail donation services for Amnesty International USA, the US arm of the global humanitarian movement operating in over 150 countries with over two million supporters, members, and activists.

Merkle's Response Management Group is delivering a comprehensive solution that includes electronic check deposits, PCI-compliant credit card processing, data capture, donor services support and acknowledgement fulfillment for Amnesty International's direct response fundraising program. Employing Merkle's advanced scanning and imaging technology combined with the company's strict service level commitments, Amnesty International has been able to accelerate its processing of donations from a week or more down to only two business days. Upon the completion of processing, images of the documents are available to Amnesty International through Merkle's Response proprietary Web-based image viewer(Arch-e), allowing the organization to respond to donor inquiries more quickly and efficiently while also eliminating long-term paper storage costs.

"Finding a service partner that could consistently process donations quickly and efficiently was a primary reason for selecting Merkle Response to handle this important part of our fundraising program," said Vivianne Potter, Managing Director of Direct Response for Amnesty International USA. "The fact that they are also able to support our sustainer and canvassing programs, including making outbound calls to our donors when needed, made it an easy choice for us. Their long-term experience serving nonprfotis, modern processing facility, and motivated staff gave us confidence that we can deliver a positive experience for our members that will help make it more likely that they'll continue to support the work of Amnesty International for many years to come."

"We are thrilled to be working with a world-class organization like Amnesty International and excited to be able to use our 27 years of "best practices" experience to deliver a donation processing solution tailored to their needs," said Bill Sayre, President of Merkle Response Management Group. "They are a great client to work for, and have given us all of the information and support we needed to provide a consistently high level of responsive and efficient service to Amnesty International's donors and staff. We look forward to a long-term relationship supporting the work of one of the world's leading nonprofit organizations."

Merkle is continually exploring new technologies and services to help its clients maximize their donor support throughout the supporter lifecycle across all physical and digital touch-points. Through work for nonprofits like Amnesty International, Merkle's Response Management Group supports strong donor relationship marketing and is the industry leader in delivering exceptional contribution processing services for nonprofits.
