About the job

About the Role

We're looking for a Lead Business Analyst to lead large-scale Contentful CMS implementations for enterprise clients. You'll be the bridge between client stakeholders and delivery teams, responsible for requirements, backlog management, and ensuring successful project outcomes on complex, high-profile web projects.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role within our digital agency where you'll partner with strategy, design, and engineering teams to deliver sophisticated web experiences. If you've been working as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Senior Business Analyst on enterprise web/digital projects at an agency or consultancy, and you know your way around Contentful (or similar headless CMS platforms), we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Client Partnership

  • Lead requirement elicitation sessions with client stakeholders

  • Build trust and partnerships with client product owners and business teams

  • Navigate our client/vendor relationship dynamics

  • Facilitate user acceptance testing and gather ongoing feedback

  • Create order out of ambiguity in early project phases

Requirements & Delivery

  • Be the Contentful subject matter expert for the client team

  • Define and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements

  • Create content models, process flows, and data architecture documentation

  • Collaborate with architects and developers to break down requirements into implementable stories

  • Manage backlog and sprint planning in Jira

  • Contribute to roadmap development and ongoing roadmap management

  • Lead Agile ceremonies and facilitate alignment across large teams

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with strategy, design, and engineering leads

  • Translate business needs into technical specifications

  • Identify risks and propose solutions

  • Create training materials and conduct client training

What You Bring

Required:

  • 5+ years in a digital agency or consultancy (client-facing project work)

  • Hands-on experience with Contentful or similar headless CMS/CaaS platforms

  • Enterprise web/digital implementation experience (not internal systems or applications)

  • Requirements elicitation and documentation skills (user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows)

  • Agile delivery experience (Scrum, sprint planning, backlog management)

  • Experience translating between business and technical audiences

  • Prior experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or Product Manager on web/digital projects

  • Content modeling and information architecture experience

  • Integration experience (APIs, headless architecture, marketing/commerce platforms)

Tools:

  • Jira & Confluence (or equivalent)

  • Familiarity navigating Figma or similar design collaboration tools

  • Lucid, Miro, or other tools for creating flowcharts and process diagrams

This Role is NOT For You If:

  • You work exclusively on internal IT systems or enterprise software implementations

  • You haven't worked in an agency/consulting environment

  • You're looking for a pure project management or technical product management role

  • You don't have hands-on experience with modern CMS platforms

What We Offer

  • Remote work (US-based)

  • High-profile client work with recognized brands

  • Collaborative team environment across design, strategy, and engineering

  • Opportunity to be the Contentful expert and drive major implementations
