Columbia, MD

Merkle (www.merkle.com), a leading technology enabled, data driven customer relationship marketing (CRM) firm and the nation’s largest privately held agency, today announced that the United States Navy Memorial and the Global Fund for Women have extended their respective contracts with the firm. Both relationships exemplify Merkle’s focus on providing its nonprofit clients word-class marketing services that maximize the value of their charitable donors.

The United States Navy Memorial, the pre-eminent Navy memorial in the country, began its engagement with Merkle in 2007. Merkle and the US Navy Memorial were even awarded a Marketing Award for Excellence & Innovation (MAXI) by the Direct Marketing Association of Washington for their 2010 ‘Blessing of the Fleets’ campaign. This month, US Navy Memorial signed a new five year contract that renews Merkle as the direct mail fundraising agency of record. The relationship entails managing the company’s database as well as providing a full suite of services including strategy, creative design, program management, print production, analytics and caging and fulfillment.

“Merkle is a trusted partner that offers new and innovative strategies on how to improve our fundraising efforts to meet our objectives,” said Cindy McCalip, executive vice president, United States Navy Memorial. “With our strong partnership, I look forward to continued success over the next five years.”

Global Fund for Women renewed their contract with Merkle as the digital fundraising agency of record. Merkle’s digital engagement with the Global Fund for Women focuses on email marketing and web services along with strategy, creative, program analysis, reporting and program execution services.

“Merkle’s strategic guidance, technology and deep expertise in the nonprofit industry have grown our fundraising programs and helped us develop lasting relationships with our supporters and demonstrate our commitment to advancing women’s rights,” said Elaine Martyn, vice president, development, Global Fund for Women.
