As part of a global expansion strategy, the company has set up a key Sofia technology team of Software Architects, Software Developers, QA Engineers, Project Managers, and Technical Support Specialists. To support this strategy we are currently looking for talented people for the role of:

• Responsible for ensuring overall quality of the deliverables and customer satisfaction
• Works closely with the client and business stakeholders on providing test requirements, QA estimates and resource needs across one or more projects
• Provides and controls the project test plan execution, assigns responsibilities to team members and provides visibility on the progress, risks and mitigation plans regularly
• Owns the development of the team’s technical and domain expertise via various knowledge sharing and training initiative
• Sets clear objectives, empowers the team to achieve them and leads the appraisal process
• Mentors junior and less experienced team members on applications and job functions
• Ensures Lines of Succession are in place
• Acts as communication bridge and escalation point for the team

What you need to succeed:

• Proven experience in a Team Lead/Manager position
• 5+ years of commercial experience testing Web and Client/Server applications
• Understanding of the popular browsers concepts and differences
• Good understanding of project quality tracking and reporting best practices/KPIs
• Understanding of test documentation management best practices
• Detailed experience in writing system test scripts, test execution, and defect reporting
• Strong knowledge of web technologies – HTML, CSS, JavaScript and internet protocols, etc.
• Knowledge of key internet technologies such as HTTP(S), S/FTP, SMTP, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, etc.
• Understanding of OOP and basic programming principles
• Very good understanding of various SDLC and project management tools
• In-depth knowledge of the STLC
• General knowledge in continuous integration and automation tools
• Thorough understanding of software engineering practices such as unit testing, source code control, and change management
• Strong/assertive/pro-active written and verbal communication
• Very good verbal and written English

Nice to have:

• Understanding of e-commerce and respective 3rd parties and integrations
• Knowledge of non-functional testing tools (security scanners, load, and performance, page performance, SEO tools)
• Experience in web usability and accessibility testing and related tools
• ISTQB Certificate Foundation Level in Software Testing
