What your role and typical day might look like 

As a Functional Lead, you play a critical role leading a team of Salesforce consultants to design and implement innovative solutions delivering great outcomes for our clients.

You will be supported by an exceptional team of architects, UX designers, BA’s and Delivery Leads to take an experience led approach, bringing new ways of working and the Salesforce vision to life.

As a leader, you will mentor and support the development of our people helping them achieve their goals and ambitions along the way.

Responsibilities could include 

  • Using your Salesforce expertise to design and build innovative solutions aligned to the clients goals.
  • Owning the functional aspects of an implementation ensuring alignment to best practice across the solution design, build and documentation.
  • Proactively supporting team members to resolve issues, clarify needs and gather feedback on solutions.
  • Mentor, inspire, and motivate team members to uplift capability, produce high quality outcomes and output that meets or exceeds client expectations. 
  • Showing your passion for learning and all things Salesforce through the attainment Salesforce certifications and related skills.
  • You will act as a multiplier in learning initiatives, sharing your passion skills and experience with the wider team.
  • Actively participate and contribute to the social fabric of the Wellington office.

A bit about you 

  • Prior experience as a Senior or Lead Functional Consultant implementing solutions in at least one of the following areas: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Experience Cloud.
  • Experience working in either a Consulting or Professional Services firm, or a vendor/customer style environment
  • Experience with Public Sector Solutions or in a multi cloud environment would be highly beneficial
  • Experience implementing Salesforce leveraging the principles of Human Centred Design, Usability and Accessibility
  • Supporting presales activities that could include business case development, RFP responses, pitches and demos
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills that allow you to manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Business analysis and critical thinking skills to diagnose problems with users, create solutions and documentation
  • Knowledge/experience in DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines will be beneficial
  • Relevant Salesforce and tertiary certifications
