Job Description:

The Data Architect is responsible for technical data solutioning and building data models in customer data platform’s (CDP).  Working with Solution Architects, this role will translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases/cloud environments and data warehouses. S/he will serve as the primary contact for data ingress/egress, data modelling, segmentation evaluations.

What You Will Do:

  • Determine feasibility of use cases based on your evaluation of required data to enable the use case. Presents solutions (alternatives and tradeoffs) if/when data does not meet use case requirements.
  • Prepare accurate dataset, architecture, and identity mapping design for execution and management.
  • Designs and develops data models related to CDPs
  • Develops processes for Customer ID/profile mapping to facilitate 360 degree view of customer across data sources
  • Captures requirements and designs solutions for analytics implementations (e.g. Adobe SDK, Adobe Analytics)
  • Defines data architecture framework, standards and principles, including modeling, metadata, security, reference data
  • Develops & leverages scripts to automate key processes governing data movement, cleansing and processing (Python, Bash Scripting, Postman)
  • Design and build reference architecture for others to follow to improve data systems
  • Some data ingestion through CDP User Interface and other available tools
  • Defines data flows, i.e., which parts of the organization generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition
  • Acquire and document data governance / compliance requirements to ensure data model complies with Client requirements
  • Design and implement effective data solutions and models to store and retrieve data from different data sources
  • Examine and identify data structural requirements by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming
  • Researches, evaluates new data sources methods for rapid ingest and delivery (maintaining limitations in reliability or usability)
  • Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
  • Monitors solution performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features
  • Educates through training and individual support
  • Refer to previous instances and findings to determine the ideal method for gathering data
  • Collaborating and coordinating with multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors
  • Solution focused: identifies gaps in Client (or CDP platform) capabilities.  Presents solutions based on best practices and that show benefit to business and technical stakeholders.
  • May participate in pre-sales architectural discussions and design workshops with Clients to understand Clients technical requirements deeply
  • May develop project proposals and SOWs, and work with Client Service
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in large data migrations/transformations.
  • Experience designing and implementing Adobe Analytics (e.g. Adobe Analytics as a source)
  • 5 years' experience of hands-on experience using APIs designing RESTful services and integrated with other providers such as, Salesforce, AWS, Google, etc.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and implementing data models in customer data platform (CDP) platforms (e.g. Salesforce CDP, Adobe RTCDP, Lytics, Tealium, mParticle, Marketo etc.) or equivalent experience implementing marketing automation technologies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience building integrations with other platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Experience in a consulting environment and / or digital agency with demonstrated track record of continuing responsibilities, creativity, and innovation  
  • Experience building and deploying multi-tier, scalable, and highly available applications
  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence to develop the team supporting delivery
  • Experience using open-source technologies.
  • Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket or equivalent

The anticipated salary range for this position is $113,000-$174,500.
