Job Description:

Merkle is seeking a talented Sitecore Frontend Developer to contribute to a dynamic team building Sitecore-based web and native app solutions within our Experience Platforms group. This role will work with our development, creative, user experience, and project management teams to develop and deploy cutting-edge websites with innovative technologies. 
 
The successful candidate will have an understanding of core JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Experience utilizing technologies like Webpack, Babel, Node, and Sitecore are preferred. Responsibilities

  • Be an active member of our team and contribute to internal tools and team processes through independent research and hands-on development
  • Write modular and maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for mid to large scale websites
  • Work collaboratively with BA's, Designers, Engineers, and other project team members to help deliver high quality design, business, and strategic outcomes
  • Maintain design integrity across various screens, devices, and CMS use cases
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and commitments
Qualifications:

We expect you to confidently tick the following:

  • At least 3 years of demonstrated professional front-end experience
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript to develop performant and maintainable frontend solutions
  • Experience building mid-large scale web applications using vanilla JavaScript and frameworks such as React
  • Knowledge of modern JS and CSS frameworks and scaffolding
  • The ability to collaborate across teams & build professional relationships with managers, peers, and stakeholders
  • A willingness to continually learn diverse technologies, techniques, and front-end topics
  • A working knowledge of browser/client discrepancies and supported features
  • Knowledge of website performance considerations and performance tooling
  • Knowledge of accessibility and WCAG standards
  • Experience working across CMS platforms
  • Knowledge of agile principles – scrum, backlog, etc.

Preferred

  • Experience in modular web development, preferably Atomic Design and Storybook
  • Experience with CSS tooling such as CSS Modules, PostCSS, Sass, or Less
  • Working knowledge of vanilla Javascript without a heavy reliance on libraries and frameworks
  • Experience with a JavaScript testing framework such as Mocha, Jest, or Jasmine
  • Experience with Webpack or similar build tools and module bundlers
  • Experience with Headless Architecture and the Server-Client Rendering Spectrum
  • Experience with Jamstack, Next.js, and GraphQL
  • Experience developing websites powered by Sitecore
  • Experience working with distributed and remote teams

The anticipated salary range for this position is $72,000k - $106,000k. Salary is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
