Until now, our development teams in Merkle Northern Europe have primarily been based in Denmark. Now we want to also build strong development teams in the Netherlands. So, if you are a skilled and ambitious developer, who want's to be part of that journey, keep reading - we need you!

Our development division are divided in 5 teams; frontend, backend, app, DevOps and commerce developers. In this position, you will be part of the commerce team, which are primarily based in Aarhus, Denmark, and you will be the first Java Developer to join in the Netherlands. 

We work with complex b2b e-commerce solutions and deliver strong java code with roots in the TDD, XP, and BDD principles. We are energetic and friendly – and we work closely with both the frontend team and our various clients.

Also, what you do not know yet, you must be ready to learn – as we expect you to eventually become an expert in Hybris (SAP CX Commerce). 

You will be working closely with both colleagues and clients, e.g. through pair-programming, so that you fast and efficiently teach others as well as benefit from all the brainy heads around you. That way we can efficiently deliver solutions of the highest quality and you get up-to-speed at a high pace.

It’s a must that you are a team player, take responsibility, and are passionate about working as a fully-fledged, integrated team that delivers superb service, quality, and solutions to our clients. Most of all, you will solve complex business requirements, which demands you to tread carefully and work both structured and innovatively.

Where will you work?

You’re a good java developer who wishes to do things the right way. You’re ready to learn, to teach, and be an all-out team player, we prefer that you have experience with java development, Spring Framework, and Linux as a development environment. We also expect you to recognize yourself in the following:

• Responsible and service-minded
• 3-7+ years of Java development experience, preferably from transactional solutions
• Experience with Spring Framework
• Experience with REST API
• Experience with XML, Json and similar data processing
• Experience with GIT, Junit and TDD
• Have a talent to acquire knowledge both on your own and in collaboration with colleagues
