Salary Range

  • $60k to $63k (no bonus offered)

The role exists to be the Lead of Technology Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures (MA&D) focused on supporting the business on the pre-completion stages of the M&A lifecycle (Pre-LOI, Technology Due Diligence and Planning) within the AMER region, but also accountable for all Technology related activities throughout the M&A Lifecycle.

The role will be accountable for the overall management of the Technology M&A pipeline and portfolio within the region. The role will also work closely with Global Technology M&A, Regional Technology Delivery Project Managers, and business M&A Teams to provide Technology input into the Regional M&A strategy and deal pipeline.

The role will also be responsible for enforcing global technology standards and adherence to Technology M&A Playbook for key technology areas to enable efficient integration of acquired companies.


Key responsibilities:

  • Providing the primary point of engagement for the business M&A team and the Technology representative within the Regional M&A Pipeline forums
  • Ensuring that the Globally defined Technology MA&D Playbook, processes and artefacts are implemented within the region and that deliverables meet all standards at a high quality
  • Identification and execution of pre-LOI, Due Diligence and planning for Technology workstreams of each deal, drawing on Global technology support as required
  • Oversight and accountability for all MA&D Integration projects within the Region, providing an escalation point for the Technology M&A Leads (Project Managers or Market Technology Directors) on each acquisition
  • Establishing and chairing regional Technology MA&D governance, and providing regular executive-level status reports on the regional MA&D Portfolio
  • Securing Global and Regional resources to support the M&A portfolio and pipeline, escalating to the Global or Regional senior leadership where required
  • Project Budget and Cost Management. Develops and agrees budgets for projects and control forecast and actual costs against them.
  • Collaboratively work with teams within Technology and cross-functionally with the wider business to support all MA&D Pipeline by leading M&A deals Technology assessments, Due Diligence and Planning.
  • Manage and provide visibility of the regional pipeline and portfolio of MA&D activity and ensure appropriate technology resources are available to support Due Diligence and Integration activities.
  • Effective communication including the ability to talk confidently when discussing technology elements of the deal at a senior management level.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of enterprise technology projects and programmes associated with, and that support, M&A activity across the region.
  • Ensure first-class standards are continuously sustained and improved, working alongside internal teams and partner organisations and suppliers.

  • First-class stakeholder management and relationship building capability
  • Maintain a keen focus on wider industry trends, and help to understand their applicability within the business


Candidate Profile

  • Have a clear understanding of how Technology can support the future state vision post-integration.
  • Resolve issues around culture and people to win the hearts and minds of all stakeholders impacted by the merger/acquisition.
  • Collaborate with their global colleagues to continually develop and enhance a structured, repeatable deal execution and integration process that is flexible for future acquisitions.
  • Have extensive experience in Technology Discovery and Due Diligence, ideally in the M&A space.
  • Experience managing large complex technology programmes across both traditional on-premises and Cloud applications and systems
  • Significant knowledge and experience of Enterprise Technology, background in the digital media industry
  • Previous experience in leadership roles and line management responsibilities
  • Previous experience of Mergers & Acquisitions desirable
  • Self-starter with ability to constructively challenge and influence
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Technical curiosity, boldness and a desire for innovation
  • A strong desire for service excellence
  • Demonstrates flexibility, resiliency and productivity in response to shifting priorities
