Lead Front End Developer

Job Description:

The Lead Front Developer will work with our development, creative, user experience, and project management teams to develop and deploy cutting-edge web sites with innovative technologies. In this position, you will be required to support the Architect with responsibilities such as estimation and scoping and demonstrate the ability to lead a small team of developers across large tracks of work. In order to be successful, the candidate will need a thorough understanding of core JavaScript, CSS, and HTML skills as well as familiarity with the latest architectures and frameworks. They will also need experience configuring applications with Webpack, Babel, and Node and the ability to exhibit experience solving complex problems independently. The Lead developer should be able to contribute to and promote front-end best practices and standards. The Lead Developer should have extensive ecommerce experience and be strong in at least one of the major ecomm platforms, such as SalesForce or BigCommerce.

Qualifications:
  • Experience across one or more large-scale, ecommerce platforms.
  • Passion to learn and teach new skills and technologies.
  • Self-directed; Ability to estimate across large areas of an application and break it down into structured, actionable tasks.
  • Expert level understanding of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and Sass.
  • Proficient across multiple modern JS and CSS frameworks and scaffolding.
  • ES6, Sass, Node and NPM, Webpack and Babel, Flexbox
  • Ability to select and apply common development patterns, architectures, and best practices.
  • Expert knowledge with CSS animations.
  • Expert knowledge developing and maintaining responsive web applications.
  • SEO and Accessibility best practices.
  • Experience integrating with 3rd party systems.
  • Experience working across multiple CMS platforms.

 DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • React and Redux, Angular, Ecommerce experience, Node and NPM, CMS integrations (AEM, Drupal, SalesForce).
  • Headless architecture knowledge and experience.
  • SPA and PWA experience.
  • Custom client-side data visualizations.   
Additional Information:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $130,000 - 150,000. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
