Digital Content & Merchandising Manager

Job Description:

The Merchandising Manager is a critical part of both maintaining our client relationships and our trading and content output, translating strategy into implemented tactical plans whilst balancing everyday client merchandising requests and the ongoing maintenance of managed content for assigned accounts. The position manages and implements day-to-day content and merchandising operations helps to identify key trends and strategies to grow sales, and leads work streams and teams to ensure all key deadlines and deliverables are met to a high standard. The management and building out of client storefronts and associated merchandising tools are key to success. The role is centered around managing & building out all content, products, pricing & promotions across e-commerce websites.


What we are looking for in you:

  • Experience within a Content & Merchandising focused role ideally within an Agency environment, and experience working in a team
  • Experience in managing e-commerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, Adobe Experience Manager
  • Experience in using workflow tools to manage projects, such as Jira & Confluence
  • Ability to update promotions & pricing in the platform, as well as all the content and landing pages
  • Ability to update & report on internal search & sorting rules strategies,
  • Ability to build out the navigation & categorisation of the site, testing & reporting on performance
  • Ability to assess performance and report back on deliverables and findings
  • Ability to lead client accounts, conversations, and teams
  • Experience working cross-functionally supporting and collaborating with other teams i.e., Development, SEO, Analytics & CRM
  • Project management skillsets when it comes to managing content migrations, promotional sale periods and general day-to-day BAU
  • Not afraid to take ownership for projects and unforeseen last-minute client requirements
  • Happy to get involved and step into the detail when necessary to meet client demand and support colleagues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; strong client relationships building skills
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Have strong attention to detail and able to manage workload effectively.
  • Be somebody who can excel in a fast-paced, multi-client environment requiring a blend of technical, analytical, and commercial knowledge. Comfortable with ambiguity.

Strategic & management skillsets:

  • Provides overall guidance and support on merchandising activities and best practice
  • Advises on ways to utilise platforms & tools to the best of its ability
  • Helps to improve backend tasks and efficiencies where applicable
  • Provides extra support for testing and trouble shooting
  • Aids in the triage of ticket requests and in the creation and updating of key process documentation
  • Drives the monthly & quarterly merchandising review & reporting process
