Manages project tasks, timelines and deliverables. Mentors junior and senior analysts, contributing to their technical and career development. Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of data, analytics and strategic consulting to support the client’s database marketing initiatives. Develops and/or communicates strategy to implement the objectives of the organization and guides others in linking their activities to the objectives. Develops, writes, and presents strategic recommendations and projects that directly address clients' toughest questions. Participates in brainstorming sessions that identify new marketing opportunities for clients. Designs, develops, implements, and maintains analytical software programs to support analytical reports and tools. Assists in developing internal systems that consistently provide all clients with standard reporting and analysis. Extracts and processes large quantities of data from data warehouses and other data marts in support of assignments. Applies data mining and analyzes marketing and demographic data. Tracks and evaluates customer acquisition efforts, market trends and customer behavior. Conducts advanced quantitative analyses of the marketing effectiveness of clients; and builds sophisticated statistical models to segment customer population, to enhance upgrading and deepen retention strategies, and to lift profitability by improving customer channel behavior through marketing drivers. Works across the business units to leverage leading edge technology and meets client and client team requests on time and with accuracy. Organizes and maintains research information. Stays abreast of industry trends and technological advancements by staying informed of advancements in the industry and developing vendor relationships to maintain competitive edge in the marketplace. Anticipates project risk and constraints and proactively work on solutions to address the risk/constraints; Lead a team to complete large complex analytical project end to end. Demonstrates thought leadership; develops best practices, case studies, training class materials, whitepapers, presents at industry conferences; 50/50 guided by others and based on their own initiative. Owns one or multiple client analytical relationships or digital capability area with minimal support.
Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks:
Knowledge of SAS, Python, SQL programming, multi-variate statistics, logistic regression, multiple regression, Google Cloud Platform, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access; Strong hands-on experience with BI or digital analytics tools (Tableau, TIBCO Spotfire, Micro strategy, Adobe analytics,
Google analytics, DMP insight tools); Experience with statistical concepts and applying statistical techniques such as regression, ANOVA, cluster analysis, factor analysis, common machine learning techniques, time series forecasting, experimental design, etc. to solve business problems and able to both develop and oversee solution development in these areas; Ability to analyze/synthesize data to provide insights with recommendations/action; Understanding of digital data including the systems and processes used to generate and manipulate it by media type web, ad, email, mobile, etc.; and Experience managing a small team of 1-3 people, including developing skills, conducting performance reviews, setting team priorities and owning career development for team members. Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Statistics, Commerce or a closely related quantitative field and at least one (1) year of experience as a Data or Strategic Analyst or related occupation. In the alternative, a Bachelor’s degree and at least four (4) years of experience in the above-mentioned field and occupation. Itinerant Employment - Employee may be required to work at various unanticipated locations through the U.S. Incidental travel may be required throughout the U.S. Option to work from home.
