Merkle Positioned as a Challenger in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies

March 15, 2021
Columbia, MD

Merkle (www.merkle.com), a leading technology-enabled, data-driven customer experience management (CXM) company, announced it has been named by Gartner as a Challenger in the March 2021 Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies. The report evaluated 16 marketing agencies, consultancies, and system integrators on 15 criteria and placed Merkle in the Challenger category.

According to the report, “Gartner defines global marketing agencies as service providers dedicated to developing and executing marketing strategies for global brands. These agencies bundle their strategic marketing services with an array of complementary offerings to support their clients’ needs.”[1]

“We believe being named a Challenger is a testament to our strong heritage in data-driven marketing, our customer-centric vision, and our ability to execute personalized customer experience on a global scale,” said Erin Hutchinson, global CMO at Merkle. ”Merkle focuses on customer experience transformation and helping our clients to empower true customer-centered strategies. This includes pivoting to new ways of working, new business models, and product and service innovations, and we believe that this recognition from Gartner is a testament to that vision.”

The Gartner Magic Quadrant also emphasizes that “Agencies that had spent years investing in the expertise, technology and processes to deliver against these new business models — capabilities we’ve been emphasizing over the past few iterations of this Magic Quadrant research — became more strategically aligned to client organizations’ C-suites.”[1]
