Merkle Response Management Group (Merkle RMG), a subsidiary of Merkle, a leading technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency, has announced the expansion of its relationship with Project HOPE to include donation processing and, most recently, Merkle RMG’s Aeon Sustainer Processing and Management solution. Merkle RMG has partnered with the nonprofit since 2014, beginning with contact center services.
Project HOPE is a global health organization working to solve health crises around the world. The nonprofit engaged with Merkle RMG to help improve donor care and retention. By first utilizing Merkle RMG’s inbound call center services, followed by the addition of donation processing services in 2016, Project HOPE has enhanced its donor relationships by making Merkle RMG a vital part of its team. Overall retention increased by 7.2 percent from 2014 to 2016 and annual value per donor grew by 14 percent within the same period.
“Project HOPE’s supporters enable its mission and deserve a level of care that reflects their vital role in our organization. Merkle RMG is a part of our team helping us deliver on our Donor First Commitment and philosophy. Its team is our donor contact services team, and now they also allow us to provide a more timely, accurate and efficient donation processing experience for Project HOPE donors and staff. Together, we are able to scale and respond to donors to truly impact retention and advance our goals,” said Jann Schultz, Senior Director of Integrated Fundraising and Communications at Project HOPE.
Merkle RMG’s donation processing services are critical to building relationships with and retaining Project HOPE’s donors. The organization is now also utilizing Merkle RMG’s comprehensive Aeon Sustainer Processing and Management solution. With Aeon, Project HOPE has greater visibility and reporting options, can enable multi-channel sign ups, and has improved payment processing and update capabilities. In the near future, the engagement will be expanded to include acknowledgement fulfillment, to ensure donors are thanked in a more timely and personalized manner.
“Project HOPE recognizes the critical role donor retention plays in its ability to raise funds so it can provide needed health care around the globe. The cost of donor acquisition is great. This makes timely and accurate donation processing, which enhances supporter relationships and encourages long-term giving, crucial,” said Bill Sayre, President of Merkle RMG. “With the addition of our Aeon solution, Project HOPE can further increase donor lifetime value, develop deeper connections and focus on raising funds to continue to improve health and save lives.”
