Six Top Takeaways from Braze Forge 2026

By Courtney Hedges, 10.14.2026

Braze Forge 2026 brought marketers, customer engagement leaders, technology teams, and partners together in Las Vegas to focus on the future of customer engagement. The theme, “Made for This,” was a strong reminder that while AI is rapidly changing the marketing landscape, the marketer remains at the center of great customer experiences.

The biggest takeaway from Forge was that AI isn’t replacing the marketer. It’s changing what marketers can do. Success comes from combining technology, data, creativity, and insight into experiences that feel relevant and valuable to customers.

Braze positioned the future of engagement around helping marketers move faster, personalize more effectively, and make smarter decisions while maintaining the human creativity and strategy behind the work.

The six takeaways that stood out

  1. AI is moving from experimentation to execution
AI was clearly one of the biggest themes throughout Forge. The conversation has shifted from “How should we use AI?” to “How do we operationalize AI across our marketing programs?”

Braze highlighted new capabilities designed to help marketers build campaigns faster, improve the quality and accuracy of sends, and use broader customer data to make better decisions.

The opportunity is significant: AI can help teams move from manually building individual campaigns toward creating more dynamic, automated, and personalized customer journeys. The important distinction is that AI should augment the marketer, not replace the strategy.

  2. Speed and personalization are becoming the new standard
Customers increasingly expect brands to understand their needs and respond in real time. Forge emphasized the importance of moving beyond basic segmentation and one-size-fits-all campaigns toward more individualized customer experiences across channels.

The future is less about simply sending the right message and more about determining who to send to, what to send them, when to send it, and which channel to use. This creates an opportunity to think about customer engagement as a continuous journey rather than a series of disconnected campaigns.

  3. Data needs to become more actionable
Another recurring theme was the importance of having a complete view of the customer. Having large amounts of customer data isn’t enough. The real value comes from being able to turn that data into action. There was a strong presence from AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake at Forge, showing that Braze is continuing to deepen its data partnerships.

Braze’s product direction reinforces the importance of clean data, strong event tracking, thoughtful segmentation, and a well-defined customer lifecycle.

  4. Creativity still matters
A theme that stood out at Forge was the emphasis on creativity. With AI making it easier and faster to produce content, average marketing becomes easier to create. That means differentiated ideas, compelling storytelling, and authentic brand experiences become even more important. AI can help teams execute faster, but the idea still matters.

  5. The marketer’s role is evolving
Forge’s four major learning tracks—Made to Lead, Made to Innovate, Made to Create, and Made to Build—captured the broader evolution of the marketing role. The message was clear: we don’t need to become completely different marketers because of AI. We need to become better versions of the marketers we already are.

  6. Customer examples made the technology more practical
Brands such as Wendy’s, PGA TOUR, Grubhub, Nestlé Purina, Intuit, Peloton, Bilt, Luxury Escapes, Remitly, and ClassPass shared perspectives on personalization, customer engagement, creativity, and emerging technology. These examples helped bring the technology down to earth, showing how Braze solves real customer and business problems.

Key product announcements from Braze Forge

Decisioning Studio Go
This was probably the most strategically significant announcement. Braze is moving beyond “help me decide which segment gets which campaign” toward AI deciding what each individual customer should receive and when. This “lighter-weight” decisioning tool allows brands more access to experiment and grow into Decisioning Pro.

Operator Connect
This is the biggest productivity story. Operator can now actually construct journeys, while Operator Connect extends Braze’s capabilities into the AI tools marketers and developers already use.

Content Optimizer
This changes experimentation from “let’s pick two or three variants and run an A/B test” to continuously evaluating hundreds of combinations and automatically reallocating traffic. Content Optimizer automates testing across large numbers of content combinations, while Message Prioritization helps ensure customers receive the most important message when campaigns compete.

Data and platform improvements
Braze announced expanded data capabilities, including Databricks OpenSharing, improved Cloud Data Ingestion, native Surveys, Shopify Markets & Segments, and additional observability/usage alerts. Braze also announced a strategic collaboration with AWS focused on generative AI and scaling personalized customer engagement

The bottom line

AI is changing the way we work, but it also creates an opportunity to focus more time on strategy, creativity, and understanding our customers. The Braze Forge theme of “Made for This” felt particularly relevant: we don’t need to wait for the future of marketing to arrive. We have the tools and experience to help shape it now.
