THE NETHERLANDS, 9th September, 2020: Merkle (www.merkle.com), a leading technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency and part of Dentsu Aegis Network, won the award for 'Best local campaign (SEO)' at the Global Search Awards 2020 for its work with Europcar. The win recognises the campaign run by Merkle in The Netherlands, 'Multiplatform Local Search strategy'.
The campaign by Europcar demonstrates the success of Merkle's people-based marketing strategy, by focusing on relevance for the consumer and therefore improving the results of the campaign. Even in a highly competitive market, growth can be realised. The success factors of the campaign are a thorough data-based analysis, translation of the strategy into different channels, use of tools developed in-house by the DTO team and strong collaboration between the various parties involved.
During the virtual ceremony on 8th September, the awards were presented to the best campaigns, agencies and teams in the field of PPC, SEO and Content Marketing worldwide.
