Challenge

Livit is one of the largest Swiss companies in real estate management. Around 1000 employees manage a large portfolio of diverse real estate.

In the real estate industry, there is high competition and cost pressure. At the same time, customers expect the best service, fast reactions and personal contact.

As part of its digitalisation strategy, Livit wants to take the next step with a digital solution that builds a bridge to the tenant, automates processes, reduces vacancy rates and makes new services possible.

Approach

  • Innovation Design Model
Our specially developed model for digital product and service development is based on three fundamental principles across all project phases: Co-Creation, Research-Driven, Goal-Oriented.
  • Perfect Progressive Web App
Customers contact Livit about four times a year – a native app would not be profitable. We therefore developed a PWA with Salesforce as the business layer, which offers the advantages of a mobile application without a download.
  • Automated work processes
Tenant application, handover process or damage report – for Livit we have automated 13 processes and thus created the basis for efficient property management.
  • Integration of all stakeholders
Craftsmen and suppliers get their own myLivit interface. With this, they send appointments, updates and reports in real time to Livit and the tenants.

With one swipe to the rental contract

Normally, a tenancy agreement consists of a lot of paper; tenants have to send it by post. A special innovation from our PWA is therefore the digital, legally secure tenancy agreement: one swipe is now enough to sign the legally valid tenancy agreement. This requires neither video calls nor special technical precautions or PDFs.

The waiting time for tenants and the administration is reduced by about six days. The user experience is significantly improved. With Livit, we have thus created a real innovation in the real estate industry.

This chatbot is a jackpot

Sympathetic first contact with Livit: This is what the personal tenant interaction assistant MIA offers. With her, we give the real estate industry, which is considered sober, more closeness and personality. Mia now accompanies tenants and enables simple, transparent communication through an intuitive interface and clear processes.

As Livit's representative, Mia encourages interaction and takes over the first steps – for example, recording damage regardless of office hours and holidays – until the tenants speak personally to an employee.

myLivit relies on rule-based personalisation: this enables Mia, for example, to remind her users of appointments. In addition, Mia reflects the feelings of its users. She is happy with her users or smiles when someone needs a smile. In this way, myLivit makes every tenant concern a personal matter.

Award-worthy PWA becomes Master of Swiss Apps

myLivit is a unique portal in the European real estate industry: the entire rental process from application to move-in, from rental contract to damage report is mapped in the PWA. myLivit brings landlords*ladies and tenants together digitally.

The concept convinced the jury of Best of Swiss Apps. At the awards ceremony, myLivit won several awards – including two golds – as well as the Master of Swiss Apps. myLivit is thus the first PWA in the history of the BoSA to secure the Master title.

The jury's reasoning: The app uses various capabilities of the device, is available offline (i.e. also in the washroom) and enables [...] everything that renters need. Livit saves money, time and paper at the same time – a clear win-win.
