Merkle (www.merkle.com), a leading technology-enabled, data-driven customer experience management (CXM) company, has appointed Eryck Dzotsi as head of search engine optimization (SEO), Merkle Americas. Dzotsi was previously responsible for delivering award-winning campaigns and developing solutions for clients in highly competitive environments. In his new role, he will continue to focus on driving the strategy and development of Merkle/CXM’s proprietary SEO toolsets and driving business growth through SEO performance.
A member of the Merkle team for over a decade, Dzotsi is a seasoned digital marketer with a proven track record of delivering top- and bottom-line results for Merkle's clients. As head of SEO, Dzotsi will be instrumental in further developing Merkle’s SEO capabilities for the Americas, powered by data, analytics, and technology. He will be responsible for driving growth and maturity through new business support and existing client engagement and be accountable for key SEO technology partnerships.
“SEO has evolved from the fringes of the marketing industry to become the flywheel in media optimization efforts toward customer engagement. We are seeing 33% Y/Y growth in organic visits while the need for SEO has never been in higher demand. Brands that are not optimizing are missing a big opportunity,” said Dzotsi. “Merkle has been integral in blazing the SEO trail for the industry at large, and it’s incredibly exciting to be part of this team – especially as we continue to deliver winning SEO strategies that enrich the customer experience across the board. I look forward to furthering this industry-leading work as head of SEO.”
“Eryck is an invaluable member of the Merkle team; he has played an integral part in growing our SEO business to what it is today,” said Patrick Hounsell, EVP and global head of performance media at Merkle/CXM. “Not only does he offer a cunning perspective on the latest industry trends, but he also is an amazing personality and a great example of the Merkle culture. We couldn’t be more excited to see what he will continue to bring to the Merkle team in this new role.”
