Job Description:

The Front-end Architect represents the top of the Front-end engineering discipline and as such, is engaged across all activities required to plan, design, implement and launch a production application. Front-end Architects assist leadership with discipline-level planning, training, orchestration, and partner collaboration. This role requires good leadership, team management and interactive skills. The Architect role is hands on and will require balancing implementation and delivery tasks. In this position you will:

  • Engage early with the client before the primary team to work through the estimation, delivery planning, architecture, design and design systems, and component-level architecture.
  • Push the limits with modern technology and platform architectures to expand upon the ways we can engage and capture the attention of our customers.
  • Work across some of the largest brands in e-commerce to deliver web and mobile applications.
  • Participate in creating our front-end community and vision, where we avidly review, refine, and promote best practices across different platforms.
  • Work with clients and other engineers to define e-commerce and web application architectures.
  • Scope and estimate application development time and resources.
  • Develop and document best practices and educate the community on them.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading and developing commerce-based applications on the leading technologies.
  • At least 4 years of experience working with React.
  • Experience using Next.js and isomorphic development.
  • Experience constructing headless application architectures.
  • Production development experience with key headless platforms and frameworks
  • Concrete approach to component reusability and building design systems within the Salesforce platform.
  • Ability to work through challenges on the technical and resourcing fronts.
  • Good estimation skills.
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve delivery and technical issues before they affect the project and delivery.
  • Expertise with ES6, Node, and NPM.
  • React, Angular, and Vue experience is nice to have.
Additional Information:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
