Merkle Named a Challenger in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies for Second Consecutive Year

Evaluation based on completeness of vision and ability to execute

Merkle, a leading technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency, today announced it has been named by Gartner as a Challenger in the March 2020 Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies. The report evaluated 18 agencies. According to the report, “we evaluate agencies for demonstrated success in digital transformation initiatives, measurement and analytics, marketing services, creative and content services, technology implementation, innovation as a service, and digital commerce capabilities.”

Merkle’s positioning on the “ability to execute” axis within the Challengers quadrant has moved upward in this year’s report, compared to 2019.

“We consider our positioning in the Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies as validation of our mission to help customers unlock the power of information to improve their overall business performance,” said Erin Hutchinson, chief marketing officer, Merkle Americas. “To us, this recognition showcases our commitment to continually sharpening our capabilities to deliver actionable insights and best-in-class customer experiences for our clients.”

According to the report, “the push to in-house continues, but marketing leaders still rely on agencies to help execute critical marketing priorities and serve as important strategic business partners. This research helps you navigate the key players in this evolving space.”

This is the fourth consecutive year Merkle has been recognized in this Magic Quadrant report and the second consecutive year the agency has been named a Challenger.
