Merkle Hires Will Stansbury as Vice President, Technology Solutions for Nonprofit Practice

June 28, 2011
Columbia, MD

Merkle (www.merkle.com), the nation's fastest growing customer relationship (CRM) agency, has named Will Stansbury Vice President, Technology Solutions, Nonprofit. The new addition to Merkle's team of 140 experts in nonprofit marketing and fundraising emphasizes the company's commitment to solving the technological needs of clients who engage with constituents via multiple offline and digital touchpoints.

With over 20 years of technology experience in the nonprofit space, Stansbury was a co-founder of Target Software, which became a Blackbaud Company in 2007. In his 18-year tenure with Target, Stansbury led software development and support, established technical operations and managed data center operations. Most recently, he was vice president of technology, leading the company's efforts in business intelligence, process improvement, technical operations and services, enterprise performance and web services integration. He managed the development of a constituent relationship management system that is still in use by many nonprofit organizations, including American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Easter Seals, World Wildlife Fund and others.

In his role with Merkle, Stansbury leads a team responsible for managing the execution of technology solutions for a portfolio of nonprofit clients. "Having deep experience in product- and technology-focused marketing, I am excited to be bringing my expertise to a company that takes those disciplines and applies them in a truly constituent-centric manner, offering the full CRM experience," said Stansbury. "Merkle's solutions integrate intelligence from all areas of constituent interaction- direct mail, email, search, social and other digital and offline touchpoints. Through these solutions nonprofits are able to inform and develop relationship marketing and fundraising engagement strategies to truly deliver a brand experience that maximizes an organization's financial goals and mission impact."

"In 20 years of managing strategy and execution of fundraising programs for the nonprofit community, Merkle's Nonprofit Group has seen many fundraising trends come and go. But the movement toward multi-channel constituent engagement is here to stay, and will only continue to progress," said Angie Moore, General Manager of Merkle's Nonprofit Practice. "Will brings the depth of knowledge and experience to ensure Merkle's nonprofit technology solutions are continually evolving and enabling nonprofits to deliver integrated marketing strategies and fully engage with their constituent base in a relevant and effective manner. We are delighted to have Will on board, and excited for what the future holds for Merkle's clients in the nonprofit sector."
