Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AEM Development Lead with a strong focus on back-end development and a solid understanding of front-end technologies. This role will be responsible for leading AEM development projects, defining best practices, and driving technical excellence across the team. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) architecture, back-end development, and system integrations, while also being capable of collaborating effectively with front-end teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AEM solutions, including custom components, workflows, and integrations.
  • Architect and implement backend services using Java, OSGi, Sling, and JCR.
  • Develop and maintain AEM templates, components, and services, ensuring high performance and security.
  • Integrate AEM with third-party applications, RESTful APIs, microservices, and external databases.
  • Optimize JCR repository structures and AEM Dispatcher configurations for enhanced performance.
  • Guide and mentor development teams, conducting code reviews and technical training.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between AEM backend services and UI components.
  • Work with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and cloud-based AEM infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to AEM performance, scalability, and security.
  • Define best practices and ensure adherence to industry standards for AEM development.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in AEM development, with a focus on backend development.
  • Strong expertise in Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, and Apache Felix.
  • Hands-on experience with AEM workflows, Sling Servlets, Event Listeners, and OSGi services.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.
  • Experience with AEM Dispatcher configurations, CDN optimization, and caching strategies.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular) to collaborate with UI teams effectively.
  • Strong experience in performance tuning, security best practices, and cloud-based AEM deployments.
  • Good to have: Exposure to Adobe Content Supply Chain Solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Adobe Certified AEM Architect or AEM Lead Developer.
  • Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
  • Knowledge of headless CMS implementations and Content as a Service (CaaS).
  • Exposure to eCommerce platforms integrating with AEM.
  • Good to have: Exposure to Adobe Content Supply Chain Solutions.
