Merkle (www.merkle.com), a leading technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency, announced today the appointment of two new additions to its senior management team. Michael Komasinski has been appointed chief operating officer, Digital Agency Services and Gerry Bavaro will serve as senior vice president, Enterprise Solutions Group. These moves reinforce Merkle’s continued efforts to grow and strengthen its digital capabilities and enterprise solutions.
As chief operating officer for Merkle’s Digital Agency Services, Michael Komasinski will assist in the overall operation of the group, with a deep focus on excellence in delivery across the complete set of digital agency solutions. His objective is to create and manage a scalable operational framework and to build a world-class client delivery organization. He will also play a key role in supporting the integration of Merkle’s acquisitions in the digital agency space. Most recently, Komasinski was the chief operating officer for Razorfish North America, where he directly managed agency operations, delivery management, resource management and client finance. While there, he was broadly accountable for the business performance of this 2,000 person, $400 million unit of Publicis Groupe and led the integration of Crown Partners, NuRun, and parts of Rosetta and Razorfish, under the new Razorfish Global brand.
Gerry Bavaro will be responsible for the development and oversight of Merkle’s cross-functional, enterprise solutions and for the solution architecture of large scale offerings. Additionally, he will manage some of Merkle’s key strategic partnerships at the executive level. Bavaro joins Merkle from Omnicom's Resolution Media, a leading performance media agency, where he served as chief strategy officer. During his tenure, Resolution Media grew to number one in investment globally among performance agencies, with over $1.2 billion under management, and expanded services beyond search to content marketing, video, and CRM. Bavaro led the development of social media services, which earned first-mover advantage as a Facebook Marketing Partner, due to its excellence and innovation in media buying.
