Merkle Adds Depth to Its Retail & Consumer Goods Practice Roster

Merkle (www.merkle.com), a leading technology-enabled, data-driven performance marketing agency, announced the appointment of two senior members to its Retail & Consumer Goods practice: Mark Guenther, vice president and Alex Kooluris, vice president.
Mark Guenther’s direct marketing career has spanned over 19 years, including his eight-year tenure with Merkle. In response to the agency’s immense and diverse performance marketing opportunity within the retail industry, Guenther has been tapped to manage the strategic vision and client management for the specialty retail, restaurant, and small-medium sized business portfolios. Together, these segments represent over 60% of Merkle’s high-growth Retail and Consumer Goods practice. With Mark’s appointment, Merkle will be better positioned to support this practice, driving new logo growth and client expansion opportunities for customer relationship marketing (CRM), technology, and digital agency services.

Alex Kooluris will be responsible for the integrated delivery of Merkle’s full set of performance marketing capabilities, helping retail and consumer goods companies to identify and leverage actionable consumer insights to drive business growth. Kooluris has over 15 years of experience in the retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, working on integrated CRM and loyalty programs. He specializes in bringing innovative solutions that enable brands to be in long-term, sustainable relationships with their consumers. Prior to joining Merkle, Kooluris was the vice president and general manager at Epsilon.
