Senior Systems Engineer (Magento Administrator) - Remote

Location: Fort Worth, TX.

Job Description:

The Magento Administrator must have extensive product knowledge including installation, configuration, tuning and maintenance of e-commerce sites using the Magento platform. This administration professional has an in-depth awareness of the product components, the capabilities of the components, as well as the configurations and architecture of development, QA, staging and production systems.

Qualifications:
  • Architects on-prem and cloud e-commerce solutions
  • Develops e-commerce infrastructure strategies for system security, scalability on demand and stability with a goal of near zero downtime
  • Performs installation of all Magento components
  • Experience migrating Magento 1.x to 2.x
  • Performance tuning and monitoring of the Magento stack
  • Experience installing and configuring Solr and Elastic search
  • Maintains environments by applying necessary stack and Magento updates
  • Install and maintain Magento Extensions
  • Deep understanding of Nginx and Apache web server configuration
  • Deep understanding of Varnish, Redis, GFS and GlusterFS
  • Extensive knowledge of Magento Admin including:
    • System Configuration
    • Users, roles and permissions
    • Cron jobs
    • Data transfer
    • Extensions and integrations
    • Store management
    • Catalog management
    • Content management
    • Reporting
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience analyzing logs to determine root cause of issues
  • Experience with database systems, including MySQL
  • Must be able to create and execute SQL statements
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, PHP, groovy, Perl, etc.)
  • Stays abreast of emerging software enhancements / bug fixes
  • Understanding of network technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts

Desired Skills:

  • PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
  • Advanced troubleshooting with DynaTrace
  • Understanding of Automation Tools
  • Familiarity with Amazon S3 cloud based offerings
  • Use of source control (SVN, GIT, CVS, etc.)

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering or similar discipline required. This position requires five or more years’ Magento Administrator experience.

For individuals assigned to and/or hired in Colorado, the anticipated salary range for this position is $68,400- $105,600, which is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other job-related qualifications. Pay ranges in locations other than Colorado may differ based on labor market wage rates in those locations.  A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
