The challenge
Raiffeisen is Switzerland’s third biggest banking group and the leading bank in retail business. Raiffeisen Schweiz has exclusive offers for members of the MemberPlus customer programme – including one-day ski passes at a reduced price.
Until now there has been no digitalised processfor checking the printed out ski pass vouchers at the ticket offices of the ski lifts. The passes are first checked manually and are then validated. This leads to long waiting times and high administrative costs. In collaboration with Raiffeisen, we wish to resolve these issues. We support our customers with the conception and technical implementation of a suitable mobile business app.
Our approach
Our aim is to achieve a quick, easy and secure validation of ski passes.
Merkle has created an app “from scratch” in a very close collaboration with Raiffeisen Schweiz’s in-house programmers. The app has been developed for both iOS and for Android; the back end is put in charge of controlling it on Laravel (PHP).
The project method is agile: After a few quick sprints, the app undergoes a review discussion by the customer (marketing). This means all participants can react flexibly to changes and improvements.
