Job Description:

We are in search of a Strategy Director, Brand and Marketing. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with brands to help them understand and connect more deeply with their consumers. We are looking for someone with a knack for leveraging research, trendspotting and cultural awareness to uncover meaningful insights - and who can apply those insights to shape marketing strategies and brand positions that drive impactful experiences and results. Story-telling skills are essential. This includes the ability to craft and present compelling narratives that inspire team members and clients alike. And, most importantly, you must love to solve problems, anticipate opportunity and help people to open their minds to new possibilities.


  • Oversee the brand direction of accounts in partnership with Client Services team and Creative Director
  • Develop strategic narratives to inspire ideas that support client’s strategies in effective, imaginative and unexpected ways
  • Maintain a deep understanding of culture, identifying macro and micro shifts in the landscape and helping teams connect these to brand and marketing campaigns
  • Ensure the highest quality strategic inputs into the creative process
  • Align and frame our work to achieving our clients’ broader business and marketing goals
  • Nurture the capabilities and careers of team members while proactively staying in touch with the team’s day-to-day activities
  • Serve as the strategic leader for specific accounts, and partner with the account team to ensure we are helping clients get the highest return on their investment with us
  • Work in partnership with teams across creative, marketing and technology to guide clients towards bold and innovative ideas, manage senior client relationships, and identify long-term opportunities outside of current projects
  • Relentlessly raise the bar, pushing beyond the bounds of traditional marketing in order to blend physical and digital touchpoints in to a seamless brand experience
  • Support sales and executive leadership in sales pursuits through storytelling and strategic planning
  • 6+ years of brand and marketing strategy experience preferably at a digital agency
  • Deep understanding of branding, communications, social and digital marketing channels
  • Proven thought leadership on modern brands and today’s cultural landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Expertise leading new business opportunities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Desire to work collaboratively with analytics, creative, marketing, technology and account teams at varying levels of seniority
  • Quantitative and qualitative research experience (tracking studies, focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnographies) with an ability to identify and adapt insights
  • Innate curiosity and a desire to understand people, culture and the world
  • Experience working with retail, fashion, health and beauty clients is a plus
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
Additional Information:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $145,200-$210,100.   Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary bonus compensation. The company’s bonus compensation plan is subject to change. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
