Job Description

This position will be 100% remote but must sit in the CST or EST time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • You'll use Agile methodologies and AI tools for rapid feature releases
  • You'll research and introduce new solutions and technologies, contributing to Snowflake Native App development
  • You will follow best practices throughout the development lifecycle: design, implement, test, review, and deliver with CI/CD
  • You'll engage in quality assurance and testing
  • You must understand business needs, and write clear user and technical documentation
  • You'll resolve production issues, participate in on-call support, onboard clients, and communicate with client teams
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience software development
  • Strong database fundamentals, SQL skills, understanding of relational and non-relational data models
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language (Java or Python)
  • Knowledge of big data platforms/warehouses (Snowflake preferred, Hadoop a plus)
  • Proficient in Agile Development, Vibe Coding, Issue Tracking (JIRA), code repositories (Git, Bitbucket), SDLC, testing methodologies, and continuous integration
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS preferred, GCP, Azure)
  • Knowledge of data processing workflows (Airflow, Snowflake streams/tasks)
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems
  • Unix command line skills, familiar with Bash scripting

You will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Engineering.

Additional information

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000 - $110,400. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
