The Senior UI Designer will play a key role in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of one of our financial digital products, working within an established design system. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including UX designers, developers, and product managers, to create intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and user-friendly interfaces tailored to the financial sector. This role requires a strong design sensibility, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex financial concepts into elegant, accessible, and easy-to-understand designs. The ideal candidate will have experience designing within a design system framework and be passionate about delivering seamless and impactful user experiences.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior UI Designer to reinforce our team!

The Senior UI Designer will play a key role in shaping the visual and interactive aspects of one of our financial digital products, working within an established design system.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior UI Designer to make a meaningful impact on a financial platform, driving design consistency and innovation while collaborating with a dynamic, cross-functional team. While this role focuses on a specific financial product, there is room for involvement in other projects in the future, allowing for a transition into a more dynamic role with a diverse range of design challenges across various verticals and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design for Web and Mobile: Lead the design of intuitive and aesthetically pleasing web and mobile applications, ensuring a seamless experience across devices.
  • Develop and Maintain Design Systems: Following the Atomic Design Methodology be able to build and manage design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries. Use design variables and styles in Figma following development naming conventions to to maintain consistency and flexibility across platforms and devices and have the possibility to export them seamlessly to push them to repositories.
  • Collaboration with Developers: Work closely with developers to ensure the feasibility and accurate implementation of designs. Enhance the use of Devmode in Figma to facilitate links for the designs, update dev status and annotations on update of compoennts, provide specific annotations following the Figma updates on behaviour of designs for an efficient hand-off, including design tokens and code-compatible elements.
  • User Research and Testing: Participate in user research and usability testing to gather feedback, iterate on designs, and improve the user experience based on insights.
  • Conceptual Design Thinking: Apply strong conceptual thinking to develop innovative design concepts and strategies that align with product vision and user needs, while effectively communicating and showcasing the vision of your work.
  • Stay Updated: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies. Proactively incorporate best practices and new trends into your work to enhance design quality.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior designers by providing guidance, constructive feedback, and support to help them grow their skills and contribute to projects.
  • Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews, presenting your work to stakeholders, and incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in UI design, preferably in a senior role and within financial products ideally.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise, with a focus on web and mobile applications.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles and how they relate to UI design.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of interface animation, digital branding and illustration.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.
