The Junior SEO Analyst assists in program development for Merkle China’s SEO clients, including campaign development, search engine optimization, and performance analysis. By studying hands-on technical knowledge along with some client-facing skills, the Junior SEO Analyst works on multiple projects at the same time under strict timelines and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Works with senior teammates to plan and implement SEO strategies while adding real value to clients.
2. Under the guidance of the senior teammates, communicates regularly with clients on status, timeline, deliverables, performance reporting, competitive intelligence analysis, and other follow-up items.
3. Manage the client’s expectations of the deliverables through client education.
4. Provides regular reporting and updates on performance to clients.
5. Manages client brand messaging and goals, and the development of content for search engine marketing purposes, including but not limited to, keyword generation, blog & social media copy creation, and website copywriting.
6. Works closely with key team members including, but not limited to, Management and Specialists, as well as team members in other functions, to ensure the success of client campaigns.
7. Any other tasks and duties that the line manager/company assigns

2. Client Relationship: Develop a working relationship with clients through the effective delivery of project deliverables, discussions of client-specific findings or relevant topics or event

Relationships
Member of the SEO team under the Performance Marketing Service-line
Contributes to client relationships and vendor relationships
Works with Paid Search, Analytics, and Display Advertising on cross-service client accounts
Qualifications
1. Excellent English/Korean language skills
2. Core understanding of effective project & personnel management
3. Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint
4. What makes you stand out: Advanced proficiency and clear understanding of website performance metrics, their significance to SEO, and how to track meaningful data using the main tools and programs Merkle uses including:
a) Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Content Management System programs
b) Baidu Ziyuan, Google Search Console Tools, and Bing Webmaster Tools
c) Google Tag Manager
d) Screaming Frog
e) Any of Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and Baidu Tongji
f) Keyword Research Tools: Baidu Keyword Planner, Google Keyword Planner
g) Understanding of paid search engine marketing
h) Website user experience and conversion optimization
5. This position also accepts inexperienced candidates with strong business acumen.
