
Jonathan leads Merkle’s Financial Services practice and is responsible for the strategic development and delivery of integrated solutions for the company’s banking, payments, and fintech clients. His focus is on developing thought leadership and innovative capabilities to help clients anticipate consumer trends and optimize marketing experiences.
Jonathan has over twenty years in financial services where he has held senior leadership positions within both banking and agency services. He is recognized for leading major transformation initiatives – data/identity/martech innovation, experience optimization, organizational design, and loyalty integration – to help clients improve customer acquisition and retention. He has partnered with brands such as American Express, Capital One, Regions, Fifth Third, and US Bank. Many of his client initiatives have been featured in industry publications.
Prior to joining Merkle, Jonathan was EVP of Strategy & Corporate Development at Affinity Solutions which developed transaction-based behavioral models for real-time digital wallet offers and experiences. Before Affinity Solutions, Jonathan was with Regions Bank where he established the bank’s first payments vertical.
